Trick Dogging is for Teams that want to have fun, love to train, like to practice tricks, want to play with new skills, are  curious about learning more, and are interested in earning TITLES.

This is an on-line program, where you submit the form below, submit your payment, and a link to your video entry. If your tricks match the LEVEL you are working on, we will list you on our TITLE page and send you a certificate of achievement.

This program has no time limits, you work at your own pace, and submit your videos when you and your dog are ready. It's that simple, and that awesome! 

Paws & People Founder, Nancy Tanner has been trick training for over seventeen years, and believes in a strong creative foundation for all training programs. If you cannot attend one of her workshops, or you are ready to earn TITLES, this is a way she has found for everyone to participate, and have fun!

INFO & RULES

1. For reward based trainers. No exceptions. This is about your dog, make it good all the way around! Your dog must show willingness to play with you.

2. Yes you can reward your dog while filming, BUT you cannot lure your dog with food or toy, big difference.

3. You can use voice and/or body cues for each trick, but you cannot hand, food, or toy lure your dog into position/s.

4. When video taping, no collar, no leash, no harness. We like our dogs naked when playing with tricks. Humans do need to be fully clothed however.

5. All tricks must be done safely, and with common sense and good judgement. If a trick doesn't make sense to you, please contact us and lets chat.

6. SCROLL DOWN to view the TITLING LEVELS - check them out. You need to start with LEVEL 1 and work your way through numerically.

7. Each LEVEL must be on a separate entry, separate payment, and separate video. 

8. Videos may be edited between tricks, clips spliced, and have music or voice overs. You can also add text if you want, but not a requirement.

9. Each trick at each LEVEL must be identified with text or audio saying what the trick is.

10. Whether you TITLE or not, there are no refunds, once payment, form, and video link are sent in.

11. If your video of tricks matches the criteria for the level you are entering, a Certificate of Achievement will be e-mailed to you within two weeks time.

12. UPLOAD your video to your own YOUTUBE channel - with the video header - TRICK DOGGING LEVEL 'xyz' - YOUR FIRST NAME - YOUR DOGS FIRST NAME

SIT STAY - 20', 20 seconds, or you do 20 jumping jacks while your dog is in a stay

DOWN STAY - 20', 20 seconds, or you do 20 jumping jacks while your dog is in a stay

STAND STAY - 10', 10 seconds, or you do 10 jumping jacks while your dog is in a stay

SEEKER

LEVEL 2 (choose 5 from list)

SHAKE - paw in your hand, demonstrate right and left

BOW

BETWEEN - standing between your legs with paws on your feet  

SIT PRETTY/BEG - in a sit position with front paws off the ground (dogs paws can be supported on your arm or leg, but they have to put their own paws there, you cannot)

SPIN - counter clock turn

TWIRL - clock turn

SWITCH - double u-turns

STAND IN A BOX - stand in a box, all four paws

STAND ON A BOX - stand on a box, all four paws

HUG - dogs front paws on your chest for a hug (small dogs wherever their paws can reach)

AROUND - dog circles around handler clock 

CRUZ - dog circles around handler counter

ETHEREAL

LEVEL 3 (choose 5 from list)

WEAVING - as you step forward, your dog goes thru your leg X 5

FIGURE 8's - as you stand stationary, your dog does figure 8's thru your legs

RIGHT SIDE - walk with your dog on your right side through a series of objects (cones, buckets, pots) Your dog should maintain the same position next to you for 20 seconds

LEFT SIDE - walk with your dog on your left side through a series of objects (cones, buckets, pots) Your dog should maintain the same position next to you for 20 seconds

FRONT - Your dog faces you as you walk backwards and your dog walks towards you for 20', maintaining this position

SIT to STAND - right side

SIT to STAND - left side

SIT to STAND - front

DOWN to STAND - right side

DOWN to STAND - left side

DOWN to STAND - front

ROLL OVER - from a down position, dog rolls to the right or left or both, and completes a full roll over circle

BRAVO! - counter clock turn into a bow, as one move

BACK UP - your dog facing you, your dog backs up 5- 10 steps

BACK BETWEEN - your dog in the between position and you back up together for 5 steps

COUNTER SENDS - send your dog counter around an object, repeat 5X

CLOCK SENDS - send your dog clock around an object, repeat 5X

FLYER

LEVEL 4 (choose 5 from the list)

All behaviors at a 10' inside or 20' distance outside. Please use a mat, cone, or target as your dogs destination. Please mark your space with a cone or object. You must stay in your space. Before each trick, your dog needs to be sent to their space 10' to 20' away.

GO TO - send your dog 10' to 20' to their target space, call back, repeat X3

NAVIGATOR

LEVEL 5

Choose 5 TRICKS of your choice, they cannot be similar or repeat any of the above TRICKS.  

1. They need to be safe for you and your dog, depending on age, breed, and size.

2. You can use props (i.e - skateboards, poles, discs, etc.)

3. Each TRICK should show me something more about your Teams Style

4. If you do anything aerial, it must be safe.

5. TRICKS done in combination will count as ONE TRICK.
